Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detailed Aerospace Parts Masker to join our team.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for working in a safe manner, adhering to all company safety policies, be a champion of safety, and play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by preparing parts for surface treatments.  This includes masking specific areas of components to protect them from coatings or treatments, ensuring all components meet quality standards and adhere to safety guidelines. 

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Works in a safe manner, adheres to safety policies and procedures, and ensures those working in the same area are working safelyApply masking materials (tapes, paper, plugs, etc.) accurately to aerospace parts to protect specific areas during surface treatmentsClean and prepare parts using appropriate tools and methods and ensure surfaces are damage freeAttention to detail on maskingInspect parts for quality assurance before and after masking processesLoad and unload tooling and parts onto racks or fixtures for processingCompletes routing paperwork accuratelyHelps rack and prep parts for paintingGeneral housekeeping of work area and department, maintaining a clean and organized space

 

Required Skills:

Prior experience in manufacturing or aerospace industries preferredStrong attention to detail, ability to work with precision, and qualityAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesExcellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindsetAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Basic computer skills

 

Physical Requirements:

Occasional lifting of up to 20 poundsFrequently work near heavy machinery or equipmentDemands of a manufacturing environment

 

Required Experience:

A minimum of at least 6 months’ experience in industry or related field.

 

Level of Education:
