2026 Summer Analyst – Corporate Finance (Boston, MA)
Description Duration: 10 weeks Start Date: May 2026 Internship Program Overview Citizens Bank is seeking Summer Analysts to join the Capital Markets & Advisory (CM&A) team. Through a 10-week internship program, Summer Analysts will work closely with the team’s junior and senior professionals to prepare, analyze, and execute investment banking transactions, primarily within the U.S. middle market. This program is the primary method of sourcing full-time Investment Banking Analyst candidates. Over the course of the summer internship program, Summer Analysts will be assigned to active and prospective engagement teams, gaining exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of an investment banker and growing professionally in a fast-paced environment. Opportunity Overview The Boston Corporate Finance Bankers are “Industry Coverage Experts” who originate and execute debt, M&A, and equity transactions across various industries through capital raising and strategic advisory solutions. Summer Analysts on the Corporate Finance team in Boston support three industry groups and nine senior bankers through crafting pitch materials, preparing industry analyses, and performing financial valuation. Summer Analysts work alongside investment banking Analysts and receive personalized learning opportunities through a dedicated mentorship program. Sector coverage in Boston includes Healthcare Services, Real Estate, Gaming & Leisure, and Transportation & Logistics. Responsibilities Shared responsibilities across all CM&A functions include: + Financial Analysis: Financial modeling, comparable company and transaction analyses, leveraged buyout, and other valuation analyses. + Preparing Information Memoranda and Transaction Documents: Draft key marketing and transaction-related documents. + Supporting Team Members: Develop new business ideas, pitch strategies, or transaction structuring scenarios to help clients achieve their strategic objectives. + Preparing Pitch/Business Origination Materials and Presentations: Develop and assemble pitches and presentations and be an integral part of delivering these presentations. Preferred Qualifications + Successfully complete a video interview assessment within 7 days of receiving the link.
