OVERVIEW:

‍The Lead UC Systems Engineer shall have experience with large-scale Voice over IP (VoIP) designs, implementations and migrations. The Engineer shall have experience in writing system engineering plans and other related documentation. The Engineer shall have the ability and desire to take ownership of support issues and reach successful resolution with customers. Additionally, he/she shall provide technical assistance and support as part of the core engineering team and be directly involved with non-standard voice operations.

‍GENERAL DUTIES:

Assist with site survey in order to provide a comprehensive design planSupport engineering, furnishing, installing, securing and testing of the network systemSupport migration, installation and de-installation of the network systemDevelop and execute detailed SOP’s and documentation in areas related to VoIPProvide integration and acceptance testingProvide comprehensive Tier 3 technical supportPerform upgrades and modificationsMaintain VoIP high availabilityApply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to network devicesConfigure virtual machines through VMware vSphereApply knowledge of legacy time-division multiplexing (TDM) telephone switchesConfigure and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, CUBEApply knowledge of Dial plans, Call routing, Translations / transformations,  Dial peers, Cisco Jabber, VoIP fundamentals, IP networking

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.8-10 years of related systems engineering experience.
