Description We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our team in Arlington Heights, Illinois. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in accounting operations within the real estate and property industry. This opportunity is ideal for a meticulous individual eager to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment. Responsibilities: • Record journal entries related to money market interest and reconcile accounts as needed. • Assist in issuing tenant statements on a monthly basis, ensuring timely and accurate distribution. • Process daily check deposits through remote banking tools and prepare deposits for mailing or drop-off. • Generate monthly invoices for management fees and reimbursable expenses, adhering to specific deadlines for various properties. • Compile detailed property financial statements, including balance sheets, income and expense reports, rent rolls, and bank reconciliations. • Support budget preparation by gathering necessary financial data, adding tenant lease notes, and collaborating with the team for review. • Assist in property reconciliation tasks, ensuring all invoices are reviewed, scanned, and prepared for internal evaluation. • Collect required documentation for various property-related needs in accordance with deadlines. • Coordinate with management to ensure financial data and reports meet organizational standards and compliance requirements. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Experience with financial reporting, auditing, and balance sheet account management. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines. • Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data for accurate reporting. • Previous experience in the real estate and property industry is a plus but not required.
