We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join a leading Company located in the Falls Church, VA surrounding area.
Responsibilities:Department Oversight Oversee the development, training, and performance of the Accounting team to ensure work is performed in an efficient, timely, accurate, and knowledgeable mannerDevelop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changesAssist with financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, job cost accounting, general ledger, payroll, and cash flow managementEvaluate departmental performance and adjust where needed to ensure the department meets overall goals and objectivesParticipate in staff quarterly check-ins and annual reviewsProvide input on strategic planning initiatives with suggested approaches to short-term and long-term growth strategiesProject Accounting Ensure monthly owner requisitions are entered and audited in Sage 300/ ProcoreAnalyze owner change orders, back charges, and award process in Procore/Sage 300Analyze commitments and subcontract change orders processes from Procore into Sage 300Analyze monthly Procore cost to complete reportsPrepare direct cost entries, as neededAssist with strategic planning/forecasting of project financialsConduct periodic reviews for Accounts Payable complianceEnsure that the Project Accountants and their PMs are meeting on a regular basis to produce accurate and timely CTC reportsGeneral Accounting Administer 3rd party payroll and corporate credit card/expense management softwareOversee Sage/Procore systems integrity by managing all accounting issues, processing problems, and reporting requestsProcore Analytics/Power BI Reporting and Administration Assist with the setup and processing of vendors and contractorsReconcile daily cash reportMonthly WIP Preparation and review Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accountsPrepare and maintain overhead budget planning and actual reportsParticipate in external insurance and state audits Participate in financial statement auditsAssist with maintaining multi-state business licenses Complete special projects as needed
Basic Hiring Criteria:Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field preferredMinimum 10 years of Project Accounting experience with some leadership responsibilitiesConstruction industry experience requiredStrong knowledge of Excel requiredExperience with Sage and Procore preferredStrong interpersonal and supervisory skills requiredAbility to manage in a fast-paced environment and exercise discretion and independent judgment
