Position Summary:

 

Responsible for processing and supporting the timely issuance of proper payments, maintenance of all related accounts payable records, and submission of required financial, audit, and regulatory reporting.

     

Responsibilities:

 
Facilitates all accounts payable processes and systems
Assists and works closely with all accounts payable team members
Analyzes invoice and expense reports for accuracy and eligibility of payment in accordance with approved policies and procedures
Ensures payments and the overall disbursement process are in compliance with internal rules and policies, as well as external laws and regulations
Provides support for accounts payable initiatives and process improvements
Manages timely communications with organizational and external stakeholders
Works closely with finance and accounting staff to validate proper recording of transactions and complete financial reporting
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Performs other related duties as assigned
Competent to meet age-specific needs of the unit assigned

       

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

 
Associate’s degree with accounting major or equivalent accounting courses preferred
Minimum 1 year accounting/bookkeeping experience required
Proficient in computer software applications (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel) required

       

Working Conditions:

 
Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height
Must be able to maintain a sitting position
Typical equipment used in an office job
Repetitive movements
