Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in Plano, Texas for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This position involves participating in the accounting sector, specifically focusing on accounts payable tasks. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process invoices, using 3-way match technique • Verify the accuracy of purchase orders, including vendor details, line items, and payment terms • Resolve any payment or invoice-related discrepancies with vendors and other departments • Prepare, process, and sign electronic payments and checks, including cashier checks • Maintain precise records for vendors and all financial transactions for department and tax purposes • Manage vendor relationships, setup, statement reconciliations, and communications • Collaborate with other departments to maintain the organization's financial order • Adhere to company policies and procedures related to accounts payable • Support other accounting and finance functions as needed • Process necessary documentation • Foster cooperative work relationships with all levels of employees Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including knowledge in creating spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis. • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is essential, particularly those related to financial reporting and budgeting. • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is crucial, including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor communication. • Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies in invoices, payments, and other financial records. • Familiarity with bill.com or similar financial management software is desirable for efficient handling of digital transactions. • Experience in 3 Way Matching process is necessary, including matching invoices, purchase orders, and receiving reports.
