Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Carrollton, Texas. In this role, you will manage day-to-day payables operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial systems and processes, coupled with strong organizational skills and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities: • Process and code invoices accurately and in accordance with company policies. • Utilize accounting software systems to manage payables and ensure seamless workflow. • Monitor and reconcile accounts payable transactions to maintain accurate financial records. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and address vendor inquiries. • Manage accrual accounting tasks to ensure timely and accurate reporting. • Conduct audits of payables to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies. • Handle automated clearing house (ACH) payments and ensure proper documentation. • Assist in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and company standards. • Support ERP system processes related to accounts payable. • Work with tools such as Concur and ADP to streamline payables operations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable operations, including account coding. • Proficiency in accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools. • Familiarity with financial services platforms such as ADP and Concur. • Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and practices. • Ability to perform audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams. • Knowledge of automated clearing house (ACH) processes and procedures.
