Nursing Home Activities Aide

Concord Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking energetic & passionate Activities Aides to work Full-Time for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will have previous LTC experience and be able to work weekends.

DUTIES:

Implement activities programs for Residents; focus on individual interestsWork directly with Residents on units; without direct supervisionOrganize and obtain supplies and equipment as requestedAssist recreation specialists & set up program areas as neededKeep daily attendance and document residents’ participation in activitiesAssist residents to program location and return residents to appropriate unitsBe familiar with established emergency procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

Positive attitude and energy is a must!MUST have prior long term care recreation experiencePrevious experience with a geriatric population preferredStrong computer skills necessaryAbility to work effectively as a team memberStrong organizational & planning skills; ability to multi-task

The facility features 140 beds including 17 vent certified beds. The residents live in attractively furnished private and semi-private rooms.
