Activities Coordinator Position Summary

Working to support both the Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facilities located at TidalHealth - McCready Pavilion; the Activities Coordinator in conjunction with Social Work and Nursing, organizes and implements activities geared to meet each resident’s needs and capabilities. The coordinator serves both adult and geriatric patients. Supervises the operation and functions of the activity department. 

Activities Coordinator Position Requirements

Education

Associates degree

Required License and/or Certification

Licensed Occupational Therapist; or Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant; or  2 years experience in a social or recreational program in a licensed health care setting within the last 5 years; 1 of which was full time in a resident activities program with guidance from 

Experience

4-6 years health care experience  Previous experience in organizing and implementing therapeutic activities in a Long Term Care facility is required. Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong computer knowledge of Office suite tools

Activities Coordinator Work Schedule

May be assigned to day or evening shifts as necessary. May be required to participate in weekend rotation.
