Adjunct Instructor, Multiplatform Contenct Creation II

The M.S. in Public Relations Innovation, Strategy and Management (MSPRISM) online program at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism seeks a qualified Adjunct Lecturer to teach the course PRSM 525: Multiplatform Content Creation II. This course covers brand storytelling and tools used to create content across paid, earned, owned and shared media, focusing on image, audio and video content creation. In this course, the Adjunct Lecturer will teach students how to:

· Assess a brand’s competitive landscape.

· Develop multiplatform content using effective storytelling techniques.

· Create compelling multimedia content for a target audience in support of brand and organizational goals.

· Evaluate appropriate website metrics and analytical tools to integrate into communication content.

· Plan the implementation of a multichannel content strategy for a communication campaign or project.

Requirements for consideration include a B.A., B.S., M.S., or an M.A. degree in a related field. Previous teaching experience, particularly online teaching experience, is desirable. For some courses, outstanding professional experience may be substituted for academic credentials.

The hourly range for this position is $36.37 – $45.46. USC reserves the “Adjunct” appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year, but in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
