Description
Responsibilities:
- Review and processes all driver applicant qualification documents for accuracy and completeness
- Requests and reviews initial employment documents such as MVRs CDLs and PSP reports
- Track all driver credentials License Haz-Mat Endorsement Medical Cards etc. and ensure renewal notification requests are sent to drivers and Field Supervisors and Managers
- Assist in Driver Annual Review process to include request for MVRs and distribution/collection of certificates of violation
- Assist in completing all driver safety performance history checks and DOT drug/alcohol history checks
- Populate and manage Avatar Driver Qualification software to ensure all driver credentials and files are compliant with FMCSR
- Assist in populating Intelex and keeping records on each Accident Incident by year
- Assist training manager in assigning and tracking new driver basic hazardous materials security awareness and security plan training
- Manage and maintain all printed and electronic driver qualification files medical files and compliance files in a secure and confidential manner
- Manage and maintain all terminated driver qualification medical and compliance files
- Complete Employment Verification requests for terminated drivers' prospective employers per FMCSR
- Conduct periodic self-auditing of all DOT driver qualification files and records to ensure compliance
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience maintaining accurate and up-to-date transportation records of compliance-related activities such as driver logs driver qualification files and vehicle inspections or relevant experience
- Proficient in MS Office including Excel and database entry and reporting
- Strong attention to detail
Additional nice to have qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Occupational Health Environmental Health and Safety or related field
- DOT experience in administrative or coordinator support roles
- Experience in Environmental Health and/or Safety
