ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Technical Director and Technical Operation offices of Naval Base Newport, RI NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. This NT-05 position is equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14 grade levels. Responsibilities You will be responsible as a Senior Analyst you will perform data analysis of workforce and workload data to identify trends and draw insights from various data sets. You will gain valuable executive level exposure while executing work under general direction while exercising independent judgements. You will have broad exposure to the work assignments and tasking that takes place in the Deputy Director and Technical Operations offices. You will design or develop data visualizations dashboards for leadership. You will perform analyses will include workforce demographics, benchmarks against other government/private industry, make-buy strategies, technical and business capability health. You will coordinate with Senior Leadership, Corporate Operations, and the Strategic Planning Office as well as engineers and scientists across the departments. You will support the Deputy Technical Directors with managing workforce shaping, business health assessments, and workforce development initiatives. You will be responsible for assignments that will vary in duration from a short turnaround high priority task to longer term tasks spanning several months; assignments will require expertise to assess, collect, resolve, and share solutions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: analyzing or evaluating data analytics to identity trends in workforce or workload data for the improvement of program operations for an organization. Education Additional Information This NT-05 position is equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14 grade levels. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (Currently: $151,870). This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
