ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Coordinates several projects at the same time while prioritizing competing demands on time frames. Use consistent good judgment and think creatively to solve problems. Ability to lift and carry up to 80lbs safely. Clarity of vision, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships. Precise hand-eye coordination. Ability to identify and distinguish colors. Ability to read and interpret construction prints, plans and specifications. Ability to climb poles and work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet. Ability to operate efficiently a bucket truck, digger truck, wire pullers, backyard machine, air compressor, and tools necessary to maintain lines. Ability to work outdoors, even in extreme weather conditions. Ability to work days, weekends, evenings and holidays and participate with on-call rotation as needed.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive bucket truck to jobsite and maintain truck stock. Provide the needed services for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the customer's network distribution system. Do pole transfers/splicing and set and install new cables. Provide technical skills needed for the operation and maintenance of reliable services for the consumer, completing jobs with quality and timeliness. Provide connecting and disconnecting, installing and removal, moving and transferring of various network devices on customer's facilities. Keep abreast of all changes affecting any records, reports, and related information affecting this position. Investigate consumer complaints and make repairs to distribution lines, as needed. Take responsibility for all personal actions and any personnel, vehicles, or equipment in your care, custody, or control and report any accidents/incidents immediately to supervisors, cooperate and assist in the investigations of the same. Set a good example for less experienced employees by always following and teaching safe practices. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

A High School Degree, or equivalent. 3 years of relevant experience. Understanding of basic and/or advanced network connectivity principles, including knowledge of electricity and how to safely work around it. Proficiency with all phases of line construction. Ability to fluidly adjust to an ever-changing environment with little advance notice. Must have active and clean, non-restrictive, state issued CDL driver’s license in State where hired. Must be comfortable working on a ladder and all heights Ability to work days, weekends, evenings and holidays and participate with on-call rotation as needed
