The AG Area Sales Manager South Europe is responsible for setting the direction and achieving the desired sales results on Agriculture Business in South Europe, specifically Spain, France, Portugal and Italy.

 

Responsibilities include the development & implementation of a strategic sales plan, sales calls and business development to grow sales & market share. Responsibilities also include indirect management of Landscape Sales managers/ teams on Agriculture product lines on those territories.

 

The AG Area Sales Manager will act as the voice of its customers toward Rain Bird Europe’s management and will take a central role in the strategic and tactical actions needed to reach corporate objectives.

 

Responsibilities Responsibilities:

The primary mission will be to develop the distribution network of Rain Bird AG products, through specialized AG distributors.

This person will support the development of large projects. She/he will become the Europe product champion to support other Rain Bird sales members in different countries, to help them identify further opportunities.

 

Directly manage Rain Bird Sales AG business in South EuropeDeliver ambitious sales results in AG products.Manage and develop AG distribution partners (distributors and contractors)Recommend and implement differentiating AG sales strategies, programs and promotions.Establish strong Coordination with AG Strategic Business Unit to align South Europe strategy and highlight Europe business needs.Establish long term relationship with AG distributors and industry partnersEnsure the permanent update of the customers database via the CRM.Act as the voice of its customers toward Rain Bird Europe’s managementTrack and monitor AG sales progress and make recommendations, as neededWork closely with South Europe Regional Sales Managers and their Sales teamsRequires intensive traveling about 50% of the person’s time.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

MBA or graduate degreeProven Sales Management experience requiredExperience in opening and developing distribution partners in new marketsOver 7 years of experience in irrigation industry (ideally in AG irrigation world with an agronomist background) dealing with both distribution and projects managementAbility to achieve results on your own and through othersAbility to manage sales teams as we expect this business to develop within EuropeStrong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skillsExcellent written and verbal English skillsGood written and verbal French skills as a plus
