Agile Development Professional (Hybrid 3-days in office)

Position Overview:

Our Impact: 

We are responsible for building customized software solutions for the Freddie Mac Securitization Operations Business by delivering Technology solutions to support business capabilities using emerging technology, architecture and Cloud transformation.

 

Your Impact: 

We seek a candidate who will be an integral part of a scrum team and will collaborate with other software developers, analysts, leads and business partners. You will be expected to continuously enhance your skills and be innovative in providing enhanced solutions to problems at hand.

 
Qualifications: 

·        Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience from which knowledge and skills may be acquired

·        Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development; 2 years of relevant experience and specialized training or certification in the following technologies: J2EE, Java, Web Development and SQL; Groovy a plus;

·        Experience in using Java & UI frameworks – Angular, Spring, STRUTS or JQuery

·        Position requires strong analytical skills, software engineering process skills, and the understanding of XML and creation of XML test data.

·        Experience with UML, SQL and UNIX Shell Script

·        Experience with SOAP & REST based Web services is preferred.

·        Familiarity with Bootstrap, JSON, Jenkins, Maven Builds is a plus.

·        Experience in developing APIs using Spring Boot framework, ideally with Docker container or OpenShift Cloud Platform (OCP)

·        Looking for solid understanding and implementation of tried and true as well as modern design patterns and architectural principles.

·        Modern Tools: TFS, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Cucumber/Specflow, Atlassian Suite (Bamboo, Jira, Bitbucket), Git

·        DBs: SQL, Mongo, DB2 (Legacy Sybase for transformation efforts)

·        Hands-on experience with Build and Deployment tools and languages preferred

·        Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry is a nice to have.

·        Experience with Agile or Waterfall software development project methodologies preferred

·        Excellent verbal and written communication

·        Demonstrated analytical ability and problem-solving skills

·        Self-starter; collaborative; problem-solver

·        Organized, ability to meet deadlines, work independently, manage priorities

·        Proficient in documenting and communicating ideas clearly

·        Ability to resolve issues in a non-confrontational manner

·        Good interpersonal and relationship building skill

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $103,000 - $155,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
