Aircraft Electrician - RAFB

General Description\n

Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for C-5, C-17, C-130, F-15, J-STARS, RQ-4, Global Hawk and other workload as required.\n

Duties\n\nTroubleshoot, modify calibrate and repair of complex aircraft electrical systems and equipment such as electrical power control and distribution systems, lighting systems, refueling and fuel quantity indicating systems, etc.\nPerform final functional and operational testing of these systems.\nReplace defective controls units, relay boards, servo units, or other components\nSet up and operate computerized multiple circuit analyzing equipment to test and analyze circuitry and interconnected cabling of systems\nInterpret and apply a variety of technical information such as technical orders, repair manuals, schematics, etc concerning wire codes, wiring configuration and testing procedures. \nSet-up and operate computer controlled automated test equipment (ATE) \nOther duties as assigned\n\n

Education\/Experience Requirements\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nMust have at least four years of recent verifiable experience \nKnowledge of operating electrical principles\nKnowledge of interface of electrical systems with hydraulic, electronic armament, instrument, and mechanical systems\nExperience using hand and electrical test units, meters, oscilloscopes, etc. \nExperience in reading schematics and wiring diagrams\nMust be a US Citizen\nMust be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities.\nMust have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.\nWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.\n\n
