SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
Reporting directly to the Accounting Supervisor, this position is responsible for managing payables on 20-30 properties. Accountant will provide oversight for AP Specialist and AR activities by site staff. A solid foundation in GAAP, and the ability to work within a team structure is essential.
Responsibilities Prepare check runs and wire transfers for many different properties with many vendorsManaging 60-100 bank accounts. Ensuring utilities and other vendors paid in a timely manner.Assist site staff in GL code recommendations and navigation of AP softwareWork closely with site staff, regional managers and accountants for mutual property and vendor successProcess 542s, Unclaimed Funds and annual 1099s Assist with audit inquiriesVarious clerical duties including but not limited to processing mail, filing and special projects Qualifications Knowledge of basic accounting principlesStrong communication skills. AS in Accounting or Finance preferredTwo years Accounts Payable experienceAbility to work well with peers, auditors, clients and management.Flexibility to work on and prioritize a variety of tasks.Strong problem-solving skills, including problem identificationExperience with Microsoft Office programs such as WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK.Experience with MRI and/or Nexus a plus.Pay Range: $21.00-$24.00/hour

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range provided here reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this title at a specific managed location/home property. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Pay Range: $21.00-$24.00/hour
