APA - Planning Analyst II - SMB
Specific Responsibilities

 

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

 

Maintain an asset plan that integrates a long-term view with a short-term executable plan Create & optimize various plan scenarios within the executive guidelines Measure asset level performance against plan in terms of operational and financial metrics Assist with portfolio analysis initiatives specific to the US assets Develop financial models that deliver cash flow analysis, investment return metrics, net present value numbers and CAGR (compounded annual growth rate) metrics Drive capital-efficiency improvement opportunities and short/long-term strategy for the asset Prepare materials for review by executive team and Board members Ensure alignment between the asset’s subsurface, operations, financial, and planning functions Coordinate & determine economic justification for all investment decisions Acquire an operational understanding of the industry to compliment financial skills Basic understanding of capital markets and the impact on key corporate financial metrics Address ad hoc requests from the asset and executive team as needed Do in-depth evaluations of key internal metrics to assist management in historical analysis and long-term strategic planning Qualifications & Experience

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

 

Bachelors degree in Engineering/Finance/Accounting Minimum 2 years of experience Strong analytical skills and detail oriented Deep understanding of economics and Profit and Loss statements Ability to think strategically and work independently Be proactive/engaged in the planning process Not afraid to ask questions and challenge the status quo Self-starter with a strong work-ethic Bring new ideas to the table Balance big picture understanding with exhaustive knowledge of the details Demonstrate strong understanding of Excel (super user) Experience working with Enersight and Spotfire is preferred Competencies
