Application Engineer

 

Overall responsibility:

Pre-Sale and Post-Sale support for customers in areas ranging from optimum equipment utilization to proper application/job configuration. Equipment demos and installations.  Will be part of the Document and Mail Automation Professional Services Group.

 

Key areas of responsibility:

Configure scanner output via CertainScan Transform software based on customer workflow and applicationLearning and understanding customer workflows to help them optimize the efficiency of OPEX equipmentHandle onsite equipment (software) setup/installationProvide software training to customer recommended administratorsConsult with customers (admins, IT, backend software vendors, etc.) on most efficient application setupSupport Sales force with extensive knowledge of software setup and application utilization

 

Consults with: 

Account Executives (sales force)Regional Service ManagersField Service TechniciansSupport EngineersTechnical Support GroupEngineering Team MembersOPEX CustomersOPEX Partners

 

Qualifications:

Ability to communicate technical information to both highly technical and nontechnical audiencesSuperior Organizational and Time Management SkillsAbility to interact with current and potential customers in a highly professional mannerOutstanding written and verbal communicationAbility to remain composed in high pressure situations.Ability to travel (50%)

 

Physical/Work Environments

Employee will primarily be working in an office environment.Sitting for an extended period of time.
