About the PositionAn intelligence analyst working on Dragonfly’s Asia desk, with a specific focus on the Asia Pacific region. This is a full-time, permanent position, based in Singapore. The analyst (working at Research Associate, Associate or Senior Associate level depending on the successful candidate’s experience and competencies). The Asia Pacific Analyst Associate is contracted to work 40 hours a week, though additional work may be occasionally required depending on specific projects or international travel.
About the TeamThe Asia team is responsible for Dragonfly’s coverage of Asia Pacific and South Asia primarily for its Security Intelligence and Analysis Service (SIAS). This service provides anticipatory security and strategic intelligence for global businesses and international organisations. The team comprises four analysts (including the South Asia analyst), two of whom are based in Singapore and one of whom is London-based.
About YouYour primary responsibility as Asia Pacific intelligence analyst is to conduct desk-based open source research, production of political and security risk assessments, human source cultivation and development in the relevant markets. You will prepare and deliver reports, presentations and briefings providing briefings to clients and other audiences. You may also have responsibility for mentoring and/or managing other analysts or researchers.What To Expect In This PositionTradecraftPreparation of near client ready SIAS research, analysis, written reports and verbal briefings to agreed deadlinesConduct open source research in support of timely and high quality security intelligence and political risk analysis and assessmentsDevelop and maintain our resources, including human intelligence sources, subcontractors, data feeds and open source networksDelivery of high quality project work within agreed timescales, seeking guidance where requiredOperationalGiving clear taskings to researchers set out appropriate deadlines and deliverablesProviding direction and peer review to peers and junior analysts, including providing constructive feedbackBeing proactive in dealing day to day operational tasks and ensuring team delivery demands are met.
