The Assembler and Shipping Clerk is responsible for assembling products, packaging orders, and ensuring timely and accurate shipments. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, basic mechanical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Assembler Responsibilities

Assemble products according to specifications and quality standards.Inspect products for defects or missing parts before packaging.Troubleshoot minor assembly issues and report defects or discrepancies.Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. 

Shipping Clerk

Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipment packing slips and record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability. Prepare shipping documents and ensure proper handling of outbound shipments.Complete and maintain accurate shipping and receiving reports. Operate shipping software and coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries.Assist in inventory management, stock replenishment, and cycle counts.Coordinate timely pick-up arrangements with carriers specified on the customer’s purchase order for outbound shipments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience in assembly, shipping, or warehouse work is a plus.Ability to use hand tools and basic measuring instruments.Proficient computer skills, including experience with shipping software and Microsoft Excel.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.Strong teamwork and communication skills.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma (or Equivalent)

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Salary Range: $20 - $25 hourly

*WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work in a manufacturing environment.Work around mechanical equipment using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Standing for long periods may be required.
