Assistant Captive Director

Overview Reporting to the Captive Director, the role of the Assistant Captive Director role is responsible for retention, growth and management of one or more Group Captives. How you'll make an impact Manage the captive renewal process which includes the gathering, assembling and presentation of the updated client underwriting information. Manage the preparation, planning and materials for semi-annual captive board of director’s meeting. Coordinate the loss summary information for distribution to the clients and the service providers. Respond to client needs and inquiries in a timely fashion. Work with Captive Director to follow up with prospects or referrals from our insureds/brokers. Sell the renewal to current insured and provide explanation for increases and decreases. Ensure that collateral is in place for each member and make sure that members understands the new requirements each year as needed. Maintain various schedules as it relates to the company’s premium payments, letters of credit, loss experience charges and claim payments. Manage the policy issuance and premium audit processes. Coordinate the policy errors and omissions review. Manage the premium invoicing process and monitor cash receivables. Review new business and renewal loss pick projections from actuary. Review loss summaries on new business and do initial conceptual for the Captive Director. Maintain the captive’s template of coverage for workers compensation, general liability and auto coverage. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with captive service providers, clients and their brokers. Anticipate client and program needs and problem and proactively offer solutions. Manage systems and account service to comply with corporate professional standards. Direct and monitor the performance of the captive team’s service consultant. Work on special projects as required. About You Required: Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience OR High School degree and 10 years client coordination and/or claims management experience. License required (or willingness to obtain) Able and willing to travel approximately 25% of the time. Desired: Industry experience highly desired. Experience in administration and servicing of client business. Understanding of insurance products and concepts. Good presentation skills. Ability to establish rapport and relationships. Superior written and oral communication skills. Good math and problem solving skills. Must be self-motivated, assertive, people oriented and have a high energy level. Good time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize. Ability to work in environment with frequent interruptions and high volume of activity.
