As the Assistant Controller, you will: + Collaborate with the Controller to manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, month-end closings, including reconciliations and financial reporting. + Assist in the preparation of financial statements, project accounting, WIP reporting budgets, and forecasts. + Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. + Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. + Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency. + Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. + Manage all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. + As the Assistant Controller you will gain hands-on exposure to key financial operations and decision-making working side-by-side with executive leadership in a collaborative environment. Requirements What We’re Looking For + Background in Construction and/or Manufacturing Industries: Familiarity with the unique challenges of these sectors is highly preferred. + Experience with construction or project accounting, including WIP and AIA billing. + Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to guide teams, develop skills, and drive results. + Solid understanding of intercompany accounting, sales tax, and cash flow management. + Advanced Communication Abilities: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate across all company levels. + Experience with Accounting Systems: Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems preferred (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks). + Growth Mindset: A driven professional eager to take on challenges and grow within the organization. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA designation considered a plus. + 5+ years of experience in accounting roles, including supervisory responsibilities. + Track record of successfully improving processes and driving efficiencies.
