Assistant Director
Reporting to the Associate Director the Assistant Director of PampC Project Management is responsible for the leadership and coordination of the project management programThis position will be one of the members of the leadership team for this department Close coordination and cooperation with these other positions and associated staff is required to facilitate the successful completion of projects General responsibilities include strong leadership of staff consisting of Project Managers Project Manager Associates and Project Coordinators Project Managers implement campus projects from inception through design and construction in a manner which will result in on time within budget job performances consistently producing high levels of customer satisfaction The AD is also responsible for managing and coordinating the support functions of the On Site Construction Representatives and Project Controls Specialist AD responsibilities include review of all incoming work requests to determine appropriate implementation path and project manager assignments With the support of the Project Controls Specialist the AD will be responsible for developing and maintaining a master project performance schedule and reviewing all project reporting systems for accuracy and completeness and will be expected to take necessary and immediate action for those projects which are deemed to be behind schedule and over budget The AD will also be responsible for construction safety on project sites Other duties include working closely with the Assistant Directors of Planning and Construction to develop procedures and construction standards
