Assistant Dispatcher

Truck Dispatcher Duties & Responsibilities:

Schedule drivers to pick up and deliver equipment and materials for our jobsites, vendors, and subsidiaries.DOT Compliant recordkeeping for driver time sheets, driving hours, DOT filings, equipment availability and all requisite driver and vehicle inspections and registrations.Monitor driver locations to manage potential issues and assist with time critical scheduling.Coordinate and manage loads including combining shipments based on the routes, timeline, and weight/size requirements.Manage fuel pricing, order and dispatch delivery of fuel for off-road equipment at our project sites, and manage the fuel tanks ant the Equipment yard, recording off-road and on-road fuel use.Daily Fuel Cost reports and charge-out to projects.Daily reporting of truck time, billing truck time, and managing driver’s timecards.Work with yard equipment and materials teams to schedule and plan the loading and unloading of trucks.Miscellaneous duties as required.

Truck Dispatcher Qualifications:

Current CDL Class A or B. Must meet all State renewal requirements while employed as a Truck Dispatcher for Clark Construction Group, LLC.Construction knowledge is a plus.Knowledge of DC Metro area roadways and permit regulations for area roadways.Minimum 5 years driving experience in the DC Metro areaComplete knowledge of all DOT rules and regulations as it pertains to delivering fuel, construction materials, and equipment.Business experience and Hazmat experience are a plus.

Experience:

Dispatching: 3 years (Preferred)knowledge of truck routes (East Coast): 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

CDL License (Preferred)
