Assistant Operations Business Solutions Support Analyst
Job Title: Assistant Operations Business Solutions Support Analyst Business Context: The Operations Business Solutions group is part of the Manufacturing Engineering group, and is responsible for creating and executing a Solutions Roadmap, to help the company grow its manufacturing capabilities in a sustainable fashion. This group looks specifically at (software) systems and processes to do that. Introduction to the role: The Assistant Operations Business Solutions Support Analyst supports manufacturing systems. This requires broad end-to-end knowledge of the manufacturing processes from different perspectives: operator, quality engineering, quality assurance, logistics, etc. The Assistant Operations Business Solutions Support Analyst is part of a larger team, which is spread out over the different manufacturing sites. Systems and Solutions need to fit together in the end-to-end business flow. Systems which are currently part of the systems landscape are: SAP ERP (Hana), Siemens Camstar, Oracle Agile PLM, and others. The Assistant Operations Business Solutions Support Analyst also works other in close collaboration with other Operations Business Solutions roles, with Cepheid IT and Manufacturing departments. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: + Camstar MES support point of contact. Provide or organize on time support and ticket resolution within the agreed SLA’s, specifically for the Lodi site. + Learn to analyze and understand manufacturing business needs, and assist translating those needs into: + Software requirements and specifications for Camstar + Operator, Supervisor and Engineering training programs, supporting changed shop floor programming in Camstar + Assist analyzing business needs from an end-to-end perspective taking into account other MES and SAP ERP projects outside of Sunnyvale. + Participate in Kaizens and other process improvement activities while aligning them with the Business Solutions Roadmap. + Presents analysis and findings to management in a structured way, providing input into the Business Solutions Roadmap. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education or Experience (in years): + B.S. or 2 years of professional experience. + 1 year of experience in manufacturing, process engineering or supply chain. Knowledge and skills: + Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows + Good communicator with associates of all levels of the company + Apple IOS troubleshooting + Able to work with cross-functional teams to drive and influence changes and improvements. Physical requirements/abilities: + To be able to see manufacturing processes up close; ability to be on the shop floor and in cleanrooms. Other: + Travel (10%) + Scheduled on call duty + Works well under pressure and ambiguity. + Is accurate, detailed, and is also able to see the big picture. + Quick learner, self-starter, able to drive projects with minimal direction. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (optional): + Manufacturing Execution System knowledge + Basic knowledge of SAP ERP (Materials Management). + Camstar Medical Suite knowledge + PSP practitioner (Danaher Problem Solving Process) + Experience with GMP, FDA regulations and computer system validation. + Working knowledge of Agile PLM or other PLM system.
