BODYARMOR is looking for an Associate Accounting Manager to join our team.


The Associate Accounting Manager is a key component to the day-to-day accounting activities and the monthly close process. This position will oversee accounting activities related income and expense accounts, prepaids, fixed assets, accounts receivables, and other monthly close processes to support regulatory and compliance objectives.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the Accounting processes for both P&L and BS level accounts
• Identify, communicate, and escalate scenarios with the Manager and Controller on matters requiring explanation, interpretation and analysis
• Support the financial close process, including providing subject matter expertise to the accounting team, and offer solutions for complex problem solving
• Lead the documentation and analysis of the organization’s system of internal controls to ensure financial reporting accuracy, compliance and safeguarding of assets in support of both long-term and short-term business objectives
• Successfully research and identify gaps, while providing expert advice on process improvements both within accounting and across departments
• Improve and/or recommended enhancements of processes to enhance performance within the accounting team
• Assist with the coordination and review of financial statements and supporting schedules and data to outside auditors
• Provide guidance and technical accounting expertise to other departments to help guide process design, particularly at the transaction level
• Collaborative business partner regularly interfacing with internal departments to resolve any discrepancies, while offering support and recommendations to resolve a variety of scenarios
• Act as regular main point of contact for all questions and escalations for our any team Accountants.
 

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably a degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-4 years’ experience in Finance required
• CPA or MBA preferred

• Hybrid schedule in Whitestone, New York required (in-office Tuesday through Thursday)
• 1 year of public accounting experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communications skills as this position with interact with all departments within the company
• Solid systems skills (ERP, AP tools, Expense Reporting)
• Excellent problem solving and team work’s skills with the ability to handle
multiple projects effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment
• Outstanding work ethic and willingness to learn
• Excellent accounting and financial statement reporting knowledge
• Potential travel to 5% to organizational meetings that may require travel by air or car

Pay Range:

$87,000 - $102,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:

7.5

Annual Incentive reference value is a market-based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
