New Verticals is an exciting team at DoorDash that is building and scaling new ways to delight our customers beyond restaurant deliveries (e.g., Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail).
Our Catalog, Fulfillment and Logistics team has three major mandates to effectively onboard merchants, fulfill every order with speed & accuracy and improve our logistics network. We are able to do this by identifying efficiencies, building product toolings and launching operational processes at scale. You will own metrics, pull operational & product levers and drive impactful results across our Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol and Retail businesses.
About the RoleWe are looking to build out our team with an Associate Manager who will focus on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives on the New Verticals Fulfillment pod. You will lead the scoping, go-to-market, and iteration of cutting-edge product features to help DoorDash improve order quality across our Convenience, Grocery, Alcohol, and Retail businesses. Your work will be highly visible and impactful, and involve partnering with the Machine Learning, Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams. You will sit in the Fulfillment, Logistics & Catalog group within our New Verticals Strategy & Operations organization and report into a Manager. This is an individual contributor position.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… Analyze. You love working with data to drive business decision-making and are familiar with SQL. Lead: You'll spearhead cross-functional projects, collaborating with Engineers, Data Scientists, and Designers to develop and implement product features that elevate the delivery quality across our New Vertical offerings. Strategize: You will own and deliver on improving key metrics. You’ll create and execute quarterly and annual strategic plans aligned with product capabilities to elevate order quality. Build: You will build strategic initiatives and drive innovation across our offerings; this can vary from AI-powered inventory predictions to improving the Cx shopping experience. This means everything from high-level strategy to operational details. We’re excited about you because… You are an operator. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re also able to think long-term. You are excited to experience our operation firsthand to inform your strategy. You solve problems from first principles. You’re excited to think innovatively, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking. You’re analytical. You possess a sharp analytical mind, and can extract and communicate meaningful insights from data to drive strategic decisions. You are comfortable with SQL and data visualization tools. You have 4-6+ years of experience. You’ve succeeded in high-performing cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, startups or a related experience). You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.
We expect this position to be filled by 6/9/25
