Q2 is seeking a UI/UX Design Manager to lead a team of designers on two lending-related product lines. In this role, you will be responsible for managing UX Designers in India and the U.S. With the support of our other UX Design leaders, you will be tasked with using your influence to raise the level of UX design maturity in our organization, including increasing our participation in user research, measuring the quality of our lending user experiences, helping increase the adoption of our design system, and working with product stakeholders to collaboratively plan UX needs in the lending space. You will be expected to collaborate with global customers and cross-functional stakeholders on user needs, design capabilities, constraints, and project scope.

The ideal candidate for this role is highly collaborative, eager to interface with customers, and excited to drive organizational change for the benefit of our product experiences. They are interested in leading a team at a mid-sized business with many cross-functional stakeholders, comfortable with the ambiguity that comes with a quickly growing company, and committed to supporting an inclusive climate within our diverse, global UX team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide coaching, direction and guidance to a small international team of UX Designers serving two distinct lending-related product lines, and determine how to use UX resources to meet product goals. Accommodate scheduling across time zones in the U.S. and India.Exercise your influencing skills with Product and Development stakeholders in order to shepherd organizational change and raise the level of UX design maturity in the lending product spaces.Develop quarterly objectives for your UX Designers that align with high-level UX team goals and serve the design needs of the lending product teams, and hold designers accountable for achieving their objectives.Lead conversations with global customers around user needs, user experience design capabilities, constraints, and project scope.Evangelize and enforce the use of our Design System in the lending product lines, where appropriate.Collaborate with our UX Research team to ensure the UX team’s frequent participation in user research.Work collaboratively with other UX Design Managers to shape UX Design team policies and standards.Help shape the future growth of the UX Design organization through collaborative org planning. Make staffing decisions, recruit, hire and onboard employees.Engage employees in career development conversations and provide career development resources.Foster an inclusive climate within our geographically dispersed UX Design organization.Participate in monthly calls with Finance and UX Design Managers with the goal of understanding and operating within our budget; maintain projections and be accountable for tracking against our development capitalization efforts.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledgeable in human-centered design processes as applied to product and software development lifecycles.Persuasion and influencing skills, and an interest in driving organizational change with the purpose of raising the level of UX Design maturity at Q2.Experience negotiating with customers and internal stakeholders on design project scope.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Information Architecture, HCI and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience.
