ATI PROGRAM ASSISTANT

The ATI Program Assistant assists the Director of Youth and Community in executing the components

of the Alternative To Incarceration programming. The ATI initiative enables SCO Family of Services to

build and foster positive relationships between local police precincts that maintain safety in the

communities we serve and the youth served in SCO programs in Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan and

Queens. Recent initiatives of the ATI program directly engages young adults in programs and

activities that seeks to address the barriers to academic advancement, emotional resilience and

career aspirations faced by many of the young adults. The ATI Program Assistant provides

administrative support and assist in executing all program activities and community events.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Part Time, 20hrs/week

· Follow up on communication with precincts and community collaboration.

· Assist in the management and facilitation of all ATI Initiatives

· Assist in mentoring the interns.

· Assist in Empowerment workshops facilitation and resource support.

· Oversee program’s intern’s work schedule.

· Provide scheduling support by booking appointments and preventing conflicts.

· Ability to plan and facilitate events.

· Assist in facilitating SCO Off To College meetings, recruitment efforts and all other relating activities.

· Knowledge of Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Social Media postings and other on-line meeting platforms

· Assist in overseeing all ATI Initiatives event and advocacy involvement.

Other tasks assigned.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

· High School diploma, college degree preferred

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Experience in scheduling, organizing and resolving conflicts.

· Experience in Community Networking

· Experience in Youth Development

· Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others

· Possess a strong belief in people’s ability to grow and change; forge a mutually respectful partnership

with persons served and their families.

· Ability to set limits and maintain helping role of practitioner and to intervene appropriately.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Requires occasional flexibility in hours to accommodate program visits and events.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Responsible for meeting the stated requirements of the position.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

Works within the structure of the Community Health and Wellness Programs as that relates to the

overall agency organization
