The cover letter should address your specific interest in the position and outline skills and experience that directly relate to this position. **Responsibilities*** + Audiologic management, pre- and post-operative, of adult and pediatric cochlear implant recipients, including audiometric testing, speech perception testing, coordination of care with other professionals, programming and verification of hearing aids, programming of cochlear implant devices, troubleshooting of equipment, evaluation of patient performance, and maintenance of clinical records. + Successful maintenance of a busy audiology schedule at various locations; travel to satellite locations may be expected with this position. + Proficient documentation using electronic medical record (Epic) and various audiology-specific software is required. + Active participation in case conferences, CI team meetings, departmental meetings, and outreach efforts. **Required Qualifications*** + Doctorate or Master's degree in Audiology + Current licensure as an Audiologist from the state of Michigan is necessary. + Certification of Clinical Competence in Audiology, awarded by the American Speech and Hearing Association is necessary. + Able to successfully complete Michigan Medicine provider credentialing. + Clinical experience including diagnostic audiologic testing and exposure to audiologic management of cochlear implant recipients. + Superior collaborative skills used within a care team that includes audiologists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and support personnel. **Desired Qualifications*** + Experience working with cochlear implants manufactured by Advanced Bionics, MedEI and Cochlear Americas. + Recent experience with hearing aid programming, verification and fitting. + Experience working directly with pediatric and adult cochlear implant recipients. + Experience with digital audiometric software and electronic medical records. + Experience working in a busy, fast-paced clinical environment. + Experience working with technical support staff. **Union Affiliation** This position is included in the bargaining unit represented by the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which represents bargaining unit members in all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment. **Background Screening** Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
