By Light is supporting the Managed Information Technology Service (MITS) Enterprise Support Managed Services effort for the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM).
USTRANSCOM provides command and control (C2) for the synchronized transportation, distribution, and sustainment of personnel and assets, making possible the projection and maintenance of national power wherever needed with speed and agility, high efficiency, and a high level of trust and accuracy.
The MITS contract is intended to provide IT Service Management (ITSM) to USTRANSCOM for strategic, technical, and program management guidance and support services to facilitate the operations and modernization of the combatant command’s infrastructure, systems, and applications.
This position is for Monday through Friday, normal business hours. However, employee may be required to provide after-hours and weekend support during planned or emergency events.

Responsibilities Maintain and update the VTC architecture, to include a graphical representation. Create and maintain technical documentation in accordance with configuration management processes.Plan, perform and document preventative maintenance on equipment suggested by the manufacturer. Update firmware to the approved/recommended versions as required.Provide utilization metrics for VTCs on a recurring and adhoc basisProvide training to users to ensure proper use and care. Required Experience/Qualifications Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experienceMust have a Master Crestron certificationSignificant experience programming Crestron audiovisual and VTC presentation control systems in complex multi-security level environments.Ability to interpret customer touchpanel interface requirements and develop intelligent, intuitive, functional user interfacesExperience designing audiovisual and VTC presentation control systems in complex multi-security level environments.Understanding of electronic system architecture and design.Strong analytical reasoning skills.Advanced troubleshooting skillsAbility to lead projects and managing timelines to completionSpeaks and writes fluent, grammatically correct EnglishExperience researching and writing excellent documentation and examples for technical personnelExperience with MS Office to include Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel and ProjectAbility to manage multiple, high, & competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environmentStrong oral and written communication skills across all levelsSelf- starter and problem solverAbility to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and picturesAbility to communicate IT, networking, and security concepts to personnel at all levels of experience and responsibilityAbility to become familiar with basic project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.Technical writing and documentation skills.Configuration and change management experience working directly with/for a Government customer.
