Title: AVP - Software Engineering

Location: 1414 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28203

Duties: Design and develop financial software applications primarily using JAVA/J2EE. Evaluate functional requirements for new requests, estimate effort involved, and determine resource allocations that each request would require. Coordinate team of developers working on the design, coding, and delivery of web 2.0 interface using React JS, Redux, Java and Oracle. In executing duties, utilize NoSQL Database, including MongoDB. Conduct daily scrums with development team. Conduct code, design, and architecture reviews. Document the design and code as per the PDLC standards. Work in Agile environment, estimating effort and tracking progress towards key deliverables. Handle production support of applications by leading team to solve production incidents and perform root cause analysis, code defect fixes, data analysis, and troubleshooting. Oversee infrastructure resources used by applications and coordinate with other internal teams on security patch updates, software upgrades, and other infrastructure activities. Train and mentor members of the development team on all aspects of the product suite.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field plus seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, or a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: architecting, designing, developing, and implementing solutions in Java to support enhancements and bug fixes in existing and new applications; applying knowledge of Core Java, Multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment for applications development; working with Sybase, Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, SQL Server Business Intelligence, SQL Server Reporting Services, Java, Spring Boot, JBoss, WebSphere, .NET, Unix, DataStage, ETL, Perl, IBM MQ, Kafka, HTML CSS, Confluence, and Jenkins; working with Angular or React; working with IDE tools and build management tools, including Maven and Source Control (Subversion, GitHub, and Bit Bucket); working with microservices and design patterns; and applying knowledge of Agile methodology, SoftArtisans ExcelWriter, Infragistics, Chartfx, Apache Nifi.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $149,469 to $189,600, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
