AAA East Central currently has a Branch Manager Trainee position available in Region 5 for branches North of Pittsburgh. This position works with assigned Branch Manager to develop management skills as well as acquire basic knowledge of branch operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the management of a branch office. Coaches and trains employees to meet established goals and monitors goal results. Plans for and assigns appropriate staff training; initiates performance reviews, participates in disciplinary meetings, terminations and other changes in employee status.
Assists in interviewing and hiring staff.
Learns how to maintain profitable operations within assigned branch.
Facilitates attainment of overall sales and cross-sell goals for assigned office in conjunction with the Branch Manager.
Learns how to resolve problems and complaints on site. Maintains skills in the various office systems necessary to resolve local issues and meet member service needs (i.e. MRM, EICS).
Performs transactions at the reception area, travel or member service areas as necessary to maintain contact with members and models desired behaviors.
Assists in the development of sales approach and action plans to achieve assigned Branch’s sales goals. Provides necessary guidance, coaching and training in order to achieve improved sales results.
Ensures that management communications occur frequently and contribute to office needs and corporate requirements. Conducts communication and/or training to ensure appropriate knowledge on products, services and procedures.
Creates and maintains staff schedules with approval of Branch Manager. Balances productivity and revenue needs through creative and resourceful scheduling techniques.
Conducts various audits and procedural examinations as needed. Ensures that logs and records are properly maintained.
Provides all necessary reports in a timely manner.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or as required by Branch Manager or Director of Branch Office Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements - Minimum (required experience, training, skills)
High school education with additional training beyond high-school level.
Prior experience in managerial duties or in a ‘lead’ role.
Ability to supervise, coach, motivate and develop staff.
Computer literacy.
Strong analytical skills; solid oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to assume Branch Managers role in other locations within a reasonable radius when a position is available.
Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
Provide proof of automobile liability insurance at time of hire
Desired Requirements
Bachelor Degree in business or related field. Background in Travel or Travel Sales. 1-3 years’ experience in full range of managerial responsibilities; preferably in AAA field, retail, or related business.
Special Requirements (certificates, licenses, etc.)
Valid State vehicle operator’s license; ability to travel between work locations and to/from headquarters locations. Willingness to relocate to another location.
