The Broadcast Engineer position is responsible for supporting the maintenance and operations of the production control room technology. We are looking for someone that will take a hands-on approach in working closely with the Chief Broadcast Engineer and collaborating directly with the production and editorial staff. You will be one of the first lines of support for any technical issues during events while working effectively to ensure a smooth production.

Preferred bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the field Minimum three years experience in live television or board show production Documentation skills including creating and maintaining library of technical drawings and the ability to create and follow standard operation procedures Knowledge/ability to apply terminations/connectors to various types of production cabling such as coaxial, twisted pair, and optical fiber cables that carry SDI video, AES and analog audio, RF, Fiber, IP signals Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical end users Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate the status of problems, provide updates to progress on projects, and offer solutions to technical issues Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and work on elevated surfaces, pull and install wiring, use hand and power tools, work on small components, and perform other physical tasks Due to the nature of our business, work hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays
