Objective To provide transportation services for athletic teams, student clubs, or other college groups needing transportation to and from events as well as maintaining and servicing motor pool vehicles on a routine basis. Required Quals Summary High School Diploma or GED.
State of Texas Class B – CDL license, with passenger endorsement, with a driving record of less than ten (10) penalty points in a three year period.
Two years commercial driving experience. Special Notes To Applicants This is a 12 month, benefits eligible position. Principal Accountabilities 1. Transports athletic teams, student organization groups, and other college groups to and from events. Principal Accountabilities 2. Maintains a State of Texas Class B CDL license with passenger endorsement. Principal Accountabilities 3. Cleans and services all fleet vehicles including washing, vacuuming, maintaining exterior and interior surfaces. Principal Accountabilities 4. Performs routine and and assigned daily service on all fleet vehicles including checking oil, tire pressure, brake and transmission fluids, filling fuel tanks, and similar related tasks. Principal Accountabilities 5. Takes fleet vehicles to local lube and repair center for oil changes, state inspections, tire rotation, replacement, vehicle repairs, and similar related tasks. Principal Accountabilities 6. Keeps accurate records on service inspection reports and maintenance performed. Principal Accountabilities 7. Assists the Coordinator of Vehicle Fleet as needed. Principal Accountabilities 8. Assists the receiving, maintenance, and campus courier departments on an as needed basis. Principal Accountabilities 9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
