GovCIO is currently hiring for a Software Programmer 4 (Business Objects Developer). This position will be located in Washington, D.C. and will have a hybrid remote schedule (3 days on site, 2 days at home).
Responsibilities Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum meetings, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and other Agile activitiesEstimate Level of Effort (LOE) for backlog itemsDemonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to project schedulesPerform data analysis and data profiling against source systems and data warehouseDefine and prepare solutions for O&M changes to existing reports and universes and deployment of new reports and universesExtensively use back end functions, procedures, tables, views required by the business objects universes, used BO functionality like Queries, Slice and Dice, Drill down, @Function, Variables, Breaks, Sorting, alerter, applying of filters, Formulae etc.Test solutions to validate whether requirements have been met; develop unit test plans, unit test scripts, and test conditions based on the business and system requirementsCoordinate and demo prototype reviews and validate that solutions meet requirements and review/fine tune report deliverables; collaborate with Client Subject Matter Experts (SME)’s to develop and implement the solution and assist with deployment activitiesPrepare training manuals and support to business users to promote understanding of Business Intelligence 4.2 environment and usage of Business Intelligence 4.2 Web Intelligence reports, and BI Launch pad tools and featuresConduct performance tuning for Universes and ReportsAssist the team with troubleshooting problems and developing recommendations/solutionsUpdate/Maintain Business Objects UniversesUpdate/Maintain Business Objects Universe design specification documentationAssist business analysts and testers during system testing as necessary QualificationsBachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience) preferred majors and minors include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Information Management and Technology

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
