Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Cardiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health -Ruth Bader Ginsburg is enhancing its current Division outreach to the ambulatory area. Bringing together skilled physicians and the expertise of one of South Brooklyn Health Cardiology team to provide out-patient care. The position offers an opportunity to build a cardiology practice with a diverse patient population in a large, busy community-based setting.The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in order to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

The practice is dedicated to the highest quality care and to promoting continued education in its staff while playing an integral role in prevention and management of chronic cardiovascular conditions seen in our high-risk population. The role is 100% outpatient cardiology with Cardiology fellow, medical residents and Physician Assistant’s for support. There are no research and administrative responsibilities, but physicians have the opportunity to be involved in PI and QA initiatives. Competitive salary and benefits offered. 

Full-time General CardiologistWork with a variety of specialties including primary care, cardiology, specialty care, women’s health services (OB/GYN), endocrinology and moreIn addition to comprehensive cardiac care, the practices provides on-site lab and imaging servicesExcellent primary care referral base with an established patient panel on day oneServe a diverse population All outpatientSupport staff: Medical assistants and techs (nuclear, lab, echo, radiology) Teaching and administrative responsibilities relevant to the roleGood quality of lifeCompetitive salary and benefits offered including productivity bonuses, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and malpractice coverageOn-call/additional sessional responsibilities for in-patient consults and reading EKG/ECHO are optional and considered Per-Diem and not a primary part of this ambulatory cardiologist role.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8-4 PM.  There are no weekend calls included

Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University
• New York Medical License
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology
• Committed to SBH-RBG and the communities we serve
• Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
• A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System

 

Benefits include: 

Excellent benefit package Base salary range - $290,000.00
