The Woodland Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Electrical Wiring, Carpentry, Building Construction Technology, Culinary Arts, Advanced Training - Culinary Arts and Hotel & Lodging. We also assist students with job placement upon completion of their educational and career technical training.

Position Summary
Responsible to provide students with a safe and structured living environment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievement and success. Oversees the daily management of social development programs and uses proper judgment and discretion to resolve student and staff issues and problems. Manages non-class hours residential living environment and ensures quality recreational and evening programming to enhance students independent living and employability skills. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.
Schedule: Thursday to Monday 11:30pm-8:30am, OFF Tuesday and Wednesday.
Management & Supervision
Supervises and manages the program and activities of the Social Development Department when on duty. May be assigned Acting Social Development Director in Director’s absence.
Responsibilities
o Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.
o Ensures Center meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance goals.
o Supports the Social Development Director in interviewing, recommending for hire, disciplining, recommendation for termination and evaluating the performance of the employees in the Social Development Department.
o Responsible to provide students with quality and structured non-class hour activities including leadership, student government, recreation, extended training day and other special programs.
o Ensures that Center facilities are organized, clean, safe and conducive to student achievement and success.
o Responsible for the behavior management system of the Center during non-class hours to ensure safety of staff and students.
o Coordinates staff coverage to ensure student areas are supervised.
o Ensures all staff adhere to rest and meal break requirements.
o Employs sound time-management and delegation skills. Holds staff accountable for producing quality work,develops staff for career progression and disciplines staff that fail to meet goals.
