Certification Engineer
Position Overview Navistar is seeking an Engineer to join our Certification and Compliance team. In this role, you'll work in the Certification and Compliance Test Group and will be responsible and accountable for certification data acquisition in support of both new model and current model development programs. Responsibility will be assigned for all certification activities from pre-production to post launch running change for designated engine and vehicle platforms. Responsibilities + Processing/documentation/standardization of the certification process + Emissions documentation and reporting in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations and California Code of Regulations – DF/DDE/EDE/MST + Test cell or vehicle testing project management – Certification data collection + Learn and adapt new or evolving testing requirements into test schedules + Daily/weekly certification status reports Minimum Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science OR + Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and will obtain degree prior to first day of employment Additional Requirements + Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills + Mechanical Engineering degree preferred + Familiarity with engine, exhaust system and vehicle basics + Strong communication and presentation skills + Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues + Ability to balance urgency, accountability and adherence to standards and regulations + Familiarity with US Heavy Duty On-Road regulations + ETAS INCA, CAN Protocols, MS Office, MATLAB, Power BI Company Overview Navistar, Inc.
