THIS POSITION IS FOR CANDIDATES INTERESTED IN APPLYING TO THE BLESSING HEALTH SYSTEM CNA TRAINING PROGRAM.  AFTER COMPLETION OF THE CNA PROGRAM YOU WILL TRANSFER TO A DEPARTMENT WITHIN BLESSING TO WORK AS A CNA.   PATIENT CARE ASSISTANT STARTING RATE: $15.92 (WITHOUT EXPERIENCE) + $2.00 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL IF APPLICABLE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THIS PROGRAM AND PASSING THE STATE OF IL CNA COMPETENCY EXAM WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASE IN PAY.    THIS POSITION (FULL-TIME) IS ELIGIBLE FOR UP TO A $25,000 SIGN ON BONUS   THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A RELOCATION STIPEND IF MOVING MORE THAN 50 MILES FROM BLESSING HEALTH SYSTEM

A portion of the training for this course includes an IDPH approved basic nurse assistant training program.  Once this program is completed, students are eligible to take the nurse assistant/aide competency exam.

The CNA training program requires full-time hours (four days per week, 9 ½ hour days) for approximately four weeks. If hired to a part-time status, a student will then work in a hired status. 

This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including adult through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED: High School Diploma or Equivalent Good verbal communication skills Must attend and successfully complete the Blessing CNA Training Program. License/Certifications/Special Requirements: Upon completion of the Blessing CNA Training Program, you have 12 months from the program completion date to pass the Illinois Nurse Assistant/Aide Competency Exam. Pay Status:  Non-Exempt Hourly
