In the Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor Role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:  

Directing workflow on the floorCultivate an inclusive work environment and strong hospital culture Help with the interview process for potential new hiresTechnician SchedulingAssists in staffing and coverage where neededAssists in the educational development of technicians and their skillsAssists in basic protocol and standard procedure trainingProvide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experienceEnsure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience  Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner

Our Hospital and Team:

At VCA Cat Hospital of Chicago, we are a cat-only hospital in the always-growing heart of Irving Park. We are proudly AAHA accredited, providing compassionate, low-stress, feline-friendly veterinary care. We have been designated as a Gold Standard Cat-Friendly Practice by the American Association of Feline Practitioners, and our doctors are all active members of the AAFP.

We are a full-service facility offering Emergency care, Hospitalization, Preventative/Routine medical care. In addition to our general Veterinary services, we offer advanced services such as laser therapy, feline radioactive thyroid I-131 treatment, ultrasound, advanced soft tissue surgeries, advanced dental procedures, and echocardiogram.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling. We utilize a 4 x 10 hour work week.

Location: We are located in the Irving Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL. Our hospital is walking distance to many artisan shops, restaurants, a cider house, breweries and cafés. Our animal hospital has easy access to public transportation.
