This CGI Artist will support Senior CGI Artists, Art Directors, and Producers in checking models, creating materials and rendered imagery for eCommerce and Marketing visualization projects.

This position is open to remote and hybrid candidates

A day in the life as a CGI Artist…

Create and gather necessary material specific to project requirements and scopeCreate both high-poly and optimized low-poly modelsCreate proper UV unwraps of mesh models
Assist in creating and maintaining assets for our CGI texture library such as:
Create shaders and textures based on physical samples, scans or photographyAssemble and test shaders using new material scans provided by vendor(s)Place textures maps in the appropriate folder, link the maps to a Vray shader, and enter tiling informationCreate test renders of scanned materials onto shader balls or template modelsAssemble Vrscene Zip packages for moving shaders and scenes into a content-management systemAssist with 3D scene setup in Autodesk 3dsMax for rendering tests:Collect necessary 3D assets, shaders and textures into a scene file for Senior CGI ArtistsProvide technical quality reviews for 3D models and other assets provided by third-party vendorsTrack and report progress on a daily basis

What you’ll bring to the table…

Intermediate level at 3D modeling (polygonal mesh) and computer-generated image post-production (Autodesk 3dsMax, V-Ray, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, Photoshop)Knowledge of MAXScript for 3dsMax is a plusFamiliar with product (CAD) drawings or solid-model conversion pipelines to high poly/low poly models and scalabilityIntermediate level at texture creation (PBR using Substance, Photoshop)Familiarity with AR/VR technologies, modeling processes and workflowsHigh attention to detail and project specificationsPositive and solution-oriented attitudeSelf-motivated and proactive with high multi-tasking abilityExceptional problem solving skillsEffective time-management skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProven ability to work successfully within and across teams and external vendors
