Charge Description Master Analyst
Position OverviewAs part of the Revenue Integrity team, the CDM Analyst is responsible for managing and coordinating the Charge Description Master (CDM) and Charge Generation Tracker (CGT) for United Health Services Entities 0101 (UHS) which utilizes the Epic system for charge entry/billing. They must ensure that all items on the CDM and CGT are a direct reflection of chargeable and billable services. This requires experience with audit and investigation skills, financial modeling analytical skills, and applied or familiar knowledge of all aspects of health care and familiarity with CPT and HCPCS codes. The CDM Analyst will provide general training and guidance to assigned operational directors/managers regarding CDM/CGT management, encounter forms, charging and billing of services, coding and revenue reimbursement, and reconciliation processes. Working effectively as a team member, the position will also directly support the statistical and reporting activities and requests of the Revenue Integrity Director, Charge Capture Manager, Charge Capture/Revenue Management Analyst, and other UHS team members outside of Revenue Integrity appropriately requesting CDM/CGT information.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

An associate degree in business, Finance, or Health Care program required. Knowledge and experience with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and Medical Terminology required.Familiarity with MS Office technology suite, high-level proficiency in Excel.

Preferred:

3-5 Years of Healthcare Charge Master Experience.Epic experience or certifications in charge master maintenance/reporting or Resolute Hospital or Professional billing.Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, healthcare or similar.
