The Job

Enable research work through creating and planning of research roadmaps based on Navistar’s strategic targets and long-term goals.Create a holistic overview of future business models and technology solutions to properly prioritize Research and Innovation activities​Manage research roadmaps with TRATON partners and ensure group research roadmaps align with Navistar planning.Evaluate and prioritize needs and ideas with respect to their strategic fit and business impact and identify cross brand synergies.Address long term competence needs given the changing technology/business landscapeRepresent Navistar in the TRATON R&I governance.Business coaching for new ideas together with product planningSupport Process development in the R&I area

Research and Innovation RoadmapsResearch and Innovation Budget PlanProject plans for research and innovation projectsTRATON R&I roadmaps aligned with Navistar’s strategic targets.TRATON R&I governance representatio Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 10 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experienceAt least 4 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities

OR

Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 8 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experienceAt least 4 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities

OR

PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 6 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experienceAt least 4 years of experience managing technical professionals and technical staff in engineering and design activities Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
