Your Opportunity

Stantec is actively seeking eager, enthusiastic candidates for a full-time Mid-Level Civil Design Engineer to provide support for clients in the federal, state and municipal government, transportation, energy, and non-profit/NGOs for Transportation, recreation rehabilitation, and ecosystem restoration projects in the Western U.S. 

Your Key Responsibilities
Perform broad, varied, and diverse engineering design tasks on assigned projects under general supervision of task lead or project manager, including detailed design, Autodesk / Bently CAD design, construction drawing development, engineers estimates and engineering report writing. 
Engage in the design of civil engineering projects in various of the project development process (planning, concept plans, design development and construction documents). 
Assist the task manager in preparing for and assist in participation in team and client meetings.  
Project types include:
Recreation Projects (campgrounds, day-use areas, multi-use trails, etc.)
Stormwater/drainage improvements
Ecosystem restoration
Transportation Your Capabilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to creatively apply technical knowledge. 
Attention to detail, positive attitude, desire to support team success, and ability to function well in a fast-paced environment. 
Experience developing construction documents (drawings, technical specification, opinions of probable construction cost).
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D tools including grading, corridors, and network development. 
Proficient in Bentley MicroStation tools including grading, corridors, and network development is a plus. 

Education and Experience
Education: Minimum of bachelor's degree Engineering with an emphasis in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Experience: With a minimum of five years of related work experience in civil engineering design
Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in State of California or Nevada required or ability to obtain within two years of start. 

This position has the flexibility of working in a hybrid work environment with a mix of remote work and in office work. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
