Clean Energy Stakeholder Engagement - Senior Consultant
**Job Family** **:** Sustainability Consulting **Travel Required** **:** Up to 25% **Clearance Required** **:** None **What You Will Do** **:** The **Technology Innovation** **&** **Management** ( **TIM** ) group within Guidehouse’s **Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure** ( **ES&I** ) practice, provides technical and market analysis, research, and strategic planning and analysis support related to emerging energy technologies, policies, and initiatives for the public sector. The **TIM** strategy and analysis team supports the Department of Energy, NGOs, and state/regional energy organizations in strategic planning, research and development roadmaps, stakeholder engagement, federal accelerators, technology deployment and scaling programs, decarbonization pathways and analysis, and other policy analysis, data collection/modeling, and research projects related to energy efficient and emerging low-carbon building technologies. As a **Senior** **Consultant** on our team you will support broad engagement with stakeholders including government agencies, tribal organizations, industry representatives, manufacturers, non-profit organizations, and advocacy groups. Other responsibilities may include grant program management, market and technology assessments, strategy and plan formulation, and coordination of disparate workstreams. **Responsibilities** **may include** : + Supporting federal energy clients with design, formulation, and implementation of their programs + Stakeholder engagement including support for developing engagement strategies, developing engagement content, supporting stakeholder workshops and for a, supporting outreach efforts, and tracking engagement + Providing detailed research and analysis on energy-related activities including conducting market research and analyzing market trends + Performing analyses and model development; data collection; spreadsheet creation and management + Designing strategic planning frameworks and assisting with planning processes and plan development + Preparing reports and other deliverables for clients We encourage career development and hiring for the long term. As a **Senior** **Consultant** , you will follow a clearly defined career path and continue to deepen your specialized industry knowledge and consulting skills. **What You Will Need** **:** + Bachelor’s degree in relevant field AND 3-5 years of directly related working experience including internships, co-ops, and fellowships; **Or** Master's degree in relevant field AND 1-3 years of directly related working experience including internships, co-ops, and fellowships + **Stakeholder engagement experience** + Experience building and/or executing stakeholder engagement or communications plans + Experience related to any of the following: grid and utility programs, hydrogen, carbon capture, energy efficiency and industrial decarbonization or other energy technologies + **Knowledge of U.S. Department of Energy programs** + Must currently reside in the USA + Due to nature of client engagement, must either be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident + The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described + This hybrid position (candidate must be flexible, one to three days a week in the Guidehouse or Client office - DC) is open to candidates virtually from Arlington, VA + Ability to travel as needed **What Would Be Nice To Have** **:** + Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline **What We Offer** **:** Guidehouse offers a comprehensive, total rewards package that includes competitive compensation and a flexible benefits package that reflects our commitment to creating a diverse and supportive workplace.
