Clinical Lead Nurse

CLINICAL LEAD NURSE Location: West Salem Clinic | 1233 Edgewater St NW, Salem, OR. 97304 Job Status: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 40 hours a week Application Link: YOUR ROLE: As a Clinical Lead Nurse, you will direct and oversee the daily operation of the nursing staff. You will serve as liaison between the clinical care team and Management. You will assist the manager in evaluating employee performance, monitor staff closely to ensure they fulfill their job duties and provide the best patient care. Promote a positive work environment and support the teamwork model, lead by example and able to develop positive rapport with all team members. SUPERVISORY DUTIES: You will assist the manager with the hiring, coaching, and directing employees based on established policies, procedures, and protocols. Monitor staff compliance with policies, procedures and standards of Northwest Human Services and identify job performance training needs. Provides feedback to nursing staff as well as manager and gives input into nursing staff performance review. SPECIFIC DUTIES: + Directs and oversees the daily operation of nursing staff by huddling throughout the day with all care teams. Identifies workflow deficiencies and proactively collaborates with team to problem solve. Provides direction and delegates tasks as needed. + Assists with the hiring and monitoring of all new employees including students throughout the orientation process, ensuring familiarity and competency with clinical care team requirements, responsibilities, relevant policies and procedures, proper use of equipment, scrubbing expectations, safety practices, etc. Monitors staff conformity to policies and procedures, reports variances to manager. + Communicates effectively in a professional manner with clients, staff, and providers. Promotes intra and inter-department cooperation and positive morale. Serves as a role model and mentor for clinical staff by demonstrating strong critical thinking skills, maintaining composure during challenging events, can problem solve effectively and independently if needed. + Participates in planning and implementation of policies and procedures as well as educational programs. Assists in writing and updating protocols as directed. + Actively participates and presents at monthly staff meetings. QUALIFICATIONS: + Current Oregon RN or LPN license. + CPR certification in infant, child, and adult. + Minimum 3 years nursing experience required. Clinic experience preferred. + Supervisory experience preferred. Charge or Lead Nurse experience required. + Good interpersonal, communication team-building and conflict resolution skills. + Ability to work with the public politely, courteously, efficiently, and effectively. + Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making.
