Clinical Research Coordinator

The Department of Critical Care Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator for its Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CICU) team to assist with day-to-day clinical trial activities. This position requires excellent organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with flexibility in assuming assignments, as well as the ability to work independently. The incumbent will be familiar with the research process, be attentive to confidentiality and ethical issues, and understand IRB regulations. This position requires the ability to multi-task and to proactively identify challenges associated with a protocol to permit the implementation of innovative solutions. Phlebotomy skills preferred. This position does call for the ability to work a varied schedule at multiple facilities.

Prepares grant applications, manuscripts, Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, research papers, and assists with complex research papers. Audits research studies, monitors study budgets, resolves complex data collection issues, and implements protocol-specific study recruitment plans. Trains staff and oversees student workers; leads team meetings. Monitors study budgets and orders supplies.
